New certificates

New certificates for secure plug-in communication are required starting from the 1st of June 2023. We recommend all plug-in developer to update their plugin-adapter dependency to 1.2.0 until the 31th of May.

If your plug-in consumes lifecycle events or forwarded data tokens from the frontend and therefore uses local certificates in a backend to verify the validity: you need to update your certificates before June 1st 2023.

If your plug-in frontend uses our plugin-adapter library 1.1.0: an update to 1.2.0 is strongly recommended, but the plug-in will not stop working because the unknown certificate will be loaded automatically.

If your plug-in verifies tokens on its own and keeps its own certificates: you need to update your certificates before June 1st 2023.
